I’m Bryce. I build the weapons and props from video games out of LEGO bricks, at the size they would really be, from a Minecraft pickaxe to a Halo rifle nearly five feet long.
The interesting part is never the outside. It’s the inside: getting a magazine to seat and release, a bolt to move, a barrel to turn, a screen to light up, all of it out of parts that were never designed to do any of that. Some of these have mechanisms that took longer to solve than the rest of the model took to build. Those are the ones called out below.
Every build is a one-off. Most are thousands of pieces put together over months, changed constantly along the way, and there are no instructions for any of them. I can’t hand you a parts list or a step-by-step, and I’m not going to pretend otherwise. What I can do is show you exactly how each one works and what it took to get there, which is what the videos are.
